Career and Academic Advising is available to help you connect with formally trained students and alumni who are transitioning from the classroom to the workplace or who have recently graduated. Resources available to you include:

• Posting jobs for students and alumni to view,
• Reviewing resumes made available by students and alumni,
• Recruiting for employment on campus at a hiring fair,
• Hosting a work-based learning student for a semester.

Posting a Job

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College hosts a job board service, College Central Network (CCN). CCN is available 24/7 and there is no charge to use the service. Employers register their company, then receive a password to access CCN. You can post jobs for only Rowan-Cabarrus students and alumni, or you can post to the North Carolina Community College Consortium which allows students from twelve NC Community Colleges to view your job. Consortium participants: Alamance, Fayetteville Tech, Forsyth Tech, Gaston College, Guilford Tech, Johnston, Rowan-Cabarrus, Sandhills, Vance-Granville, Wake Tech, Western Piedmont, and Wilkes.

Work-Based Learning

Employers work with Work-Based Learning to arrange for a semester internship. These internships are mutually beneficial to employers and students. Employers gain skilled and semi-skilled assistance and students gain hands-on work experience with a local employer related to their program of study.
